Hiroaki Takenouchi was born in Japan but has lived in London since 1997. He has appeared at Wigmore Hall, Tokyo Opera City, South Bank Centre, Hamburg Laeiszhalle and has given recitals throughout the UK, Japan, Austria, Germany and Italy. He regularly teaches at the Poros International Piano Academy (Greece).
Recent highlights include a concerto recording with Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the BBC Four documentary on Parry with the Prince of Wales. His discography covers romantic and contemporary repertoire and he has recorded for Dutton Epoch, Somm, NMC and Lorelt.
