The young Bulgarian pianist has given numerous recitals and concerts across Europe, North America, China and Australia. During the past few seasons he played as a soloist with the Orquesta Filarmónica de la UNAM (OFUNAM) in Mexico City, the Polish Baltic Frederic Chopin Philharmonic in Gdansk, the LISMA Festival Orchestra in New York and the Plovdiv Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with such conductors as Massimiliano Caldi, Jan Latham-Koenig, Arkady Leytush and Jan- Pascal Tortelier.

Genchev has won prizes at more than fifteen national and international piano competitions, among them the Grand Prix at the Peter de Grote Festival, Groningen, 2006; First Prize at the Valery Gavrilin International Youth Competition, Vologda, Russia, 2007; and First Prize at the LISMA International Competition, New York. On completion of his secondary education in 2008, Evgeny was presented with the Dobrin Petkov Grand Award for Musical Achievements. He is currently pursuing postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music in London.
