Rachel Mahon is Assistant Organist at Chester Cathedral, a post she combines with a busy international recital schedule.
Recent and future recitals include an opening concert for the Montreal Symphony with an all-English programme at Maison symphonique de Montréal and recitals at St Alban’s Cathedral, the Royal Canadian College of Organists’ National Convention 2016, Orgelsommer Festival 2016, St. Michaelis Church, Lüneburg, Germany, and at St Thomas, Fifth Avenue, New York.
Rachel was Organ Scholar at St Paul’s Cathedral in London from 2014-16. As one of the full time organists, she regularly played and conducted services, working with the world famous Cathedral Choir in the daily cycle of worship as well as for services of national significance.
In 2012, Rachel and fellow organist Sarah Svendsen founded the duo ‘Organized Crime’. They aim to entertain audiences not only with their music, but with their crazy antics. More information may be found at organizedcrimeduo.com.
