Edward Leung wins First Prize in the Oxford Music Festival

Congratulations to Edward Leung, who was awarded first prize in the Piano Recital Award at the Oxford Music Festival 2019.

Edward performed a programme of Giovanni Sgambati’s arrangement of Gluck’s Melodie from Orpheus ed Euridice, Haydn’s Sonata in B minor (HOB XVI:32), and Liszt’s Réminiscences de Norma (S.394)

The Piano Recital Final was reviewed by Alison Boulton in the Daily News, who commented on Edward’s “arresting precision and passion – a characteristic of [his] wonderful interpretation” – read the full review here.
