Italian pianist Nicolò Giuliano Tuccia has attracted international attention for the depth of his musical insight and his commitment to rediscovering overlooked repertoire. Described by the renowned pianist and Liszt scholar Leslie Howard as “one of the most sensitive and interesting musicians of his generation,” he has developed a career that combines concert performance, recording, artistic direction and cultural entrepreneurship.
Born in 1999, Tuccia graduated with honours from the Bruno Maderna Conservatory of Cesena before completing the advanced Master programme at the Conservatory of Rovigo with highest distinction under Federico Nicoletta and Roberto Prosseda. His artistic development has been enriched through studies with Edith Fischer, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Riccardo Risaliti and Sergio Tiempo.
An award-winning pianist, Tuccia has received distinctions at the Sergio Fiorentino International Piano Competition, the MAP International Music Competition (Los Angeles), the Kings Peak International Music Competition, the London Classic Competition, the Vigo International Piano Competition and the Elevato Piano Competition. His concert activity has taken him to major venues throughout Europe, the United States and China, including Shanghai Concert Hall, Steinway Hall London, Steinway Hall San Francisco and numerous leading concert halls and festivals across Italy. He has toured extensively in the United States and China as both recitalist and
masterclass instructor. Since 2023, he has been supported by the Keyboard Charitable Trust, through which he regularly performs at prestigious venues in the United Kingdom and Europe.
An increasingly active recording artist, Tuccia has released albums for Naxos, Halidon, Doppio Movimento, Movimento Classical and IMD Music. He is currently collaborating with Brilliant Classics on a recording project devoted to the piano music of Muzio Clementi. His critically acclaimed Naxos recording dedicated to the piano music of Julius Benedict has been reviewed by internationally respected publications including Gramophone, American Record Guide, Stretto and Music International.
His performances and recordings have also been featured by leading classical music magazines such as Amadeus, Piano News and Musical Opinion. His recordings and artistic projects have been broadcast by RAI 5 and RAI Radio 3, where he appeared as guest on the national programme La Stanza della Musica.
Alongside an expanding international concert schedule, which includes performances in India and Argentina in 2027, Tuccia is also recognised for his work as an artistic director and cultural entrepreneur. He serves as President of Forlì Cultura, Artistic Director of the Guido Agosti Concert Series, and Founder & CEO of VerboSound, an artist management agency and record label dedicated to the international promotion of classical musicians. His artistic work combines the rediscovery of neglected repertoire with a constant search for expressive depth, bringing forgotten masterpieces alongside the established piano literature to international audiences.
