Born in 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia, Lilit Grigoryan studied with Arkuhi Harutyunyan and later with Sergey Sarayan at the Armenian State Conservatory. Since moving to Germany, she has studied with Matthias Kirschnereit at the Rostock School of Music and with Jacques Rouvier at the Berlin Hochschule der Künste.
She has received awards at Vianna da Motta (2007), International Paderewski Competiton (2007), Yamaha Music Foundation (2008), Piano Campus Paris (First Prize 2008), Francis Poulenc Competition (2010), Khatchaturian International Competition (2011), and Verbier International Festival (Tabor Prize 2009). She has appeared at festivals in Germany, France and Italy and taken master classes with Elisabeth Leonskaja, Menahem Pressler, Lars Vogt, Zoltan Kocsis, Dmitri Bashkirov and the Tokyo String Quartet.
Lilit Grigoryan has performed in more than 25 countries and has played with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Polish Chamber Orchestra and at the Salle Cortot in Paris. She has received support from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and since 2007, the Keyboard Trust has presented her at numerous venues including the Steinway Halls in Hamburg, London and New York, and in Castleton, Virginia.
