Víctor Braojos studied his Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Music – awarded with a scholarship by the Anna Riera Foundation – at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona) working with Jordi Masó, Pierre Reach, Kennedy Moretti and Jonathan Brown (Casals Quartet), before moving to London to obtain his Masters in Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, working with Martin Roscoe.
During these years he has worked with world-renowned performers and professors such as Albert Atenelle (Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, Barcelona), Christopher Elton (Royal Academy of Music, London) and David Kuyken (Conservatorium van Amsterdam). Victor has taken part in masterclasses and worked with pianists such as Robert Levin, Stephen Kovacevich, Dmitri Alexeev and Kirill Gerstein.
He has won several prizes and awards in National and International Competitions, including 1st Prize in the Catalunya Piano Competition (and the youngest ever winner), 1st Prize in the Barcelona Piano Competition and 1st Prize in the Girona Music Competition. He was also an award-winner at the prestigious “El Primer Palau Music Competition”. He was the youngest ever pianist to study at the prestigious Barcelona Piano Academy, at which he won the Yamaha Scholarship awarded to the best Spanish student.
Victor has performed in Spain, the UK and Russia, including the Palau Maricel de Sitges, the Pedralbes Monastery, the National Auditorium of Barcelona, the Palau de la Música Catalana, Southwark Cathedral and Milton Court Concert Hall.
His commitment to combine the classical repertoire with contemporary music has led him to collaborate with some of the most renowned composers in Spain, and in 2018 he performed at the National Auditorium of Barcelona several world-premieres by Benet Casablancas (Spanish National Music Award, 2013), Marc Migó (Julliard School Composition Award, 2018) and Josep Maria Guix (Composer in Residence at the Palau de la Música Catalana, 2018- 19). Some of these performances have been broadcast by the Catalan National Radio (Catalunya Musica).
Victor released his debut CD in December 2016 which was enthusiastically received by audiences and critics.
