Rodolfo Leone was born in 1991 and graduated from the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro with top honours in 2009.
Following extended studies with Pier Narciso Masi and masterclasses with Andrzej Jasinski, Enrico Pace and Dmitri Bashkirov, Leone is currently studying with Fabio Bidini at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin.
Leone was awarded Second Prize in the 59th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2013 (the First Prize was not awarded) — and also won the Audience Prize, the ‘Alice Tartarotti’ and the ‘Keyboard Trust Career Development’ special prizes in the same competition.
He has played for numerous musical societies in Italy and Germany and received wide acclaim from audiences and critics alike. In 2014 he played Shostakovich’s First Piano Concerto on tour with the Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano.
Some of Leone’s performances have been broadcast on German and Italian radio and television (including Deutschlandradio Kultur, Radio RAI and RaiTRE TV).
